"What I found most striking about Laura's voice was the strength of her chest and head voices and the balance and blend between them.  Her lower register has a sexy, husky quality that makes it almost surprising to hear how strong she is in her upper register. Though she never over-plays, she can belt out the high notes at will.  Her intonation is spot-on and very relaxed — no dipping or sliding into notes. Her relationship with the beat is relaxed and confident.  Her phrase-ending vibrato was well-used and, unlike a lot of singers, never over-used. Her phrasing is unhurried and sensual and she has a great back-of-throat voice that she used sparingly to give a subtle R&B twist to her performance. Overall, Laura is completely at home and in her own charming world when singing."
