| What do the Catskills, casket showrooms, and cabaret clubs have in common? They're all memorable moments from my diverse career as a singer and are presented here in this photo gallery. Circa, 1966 Me at The Pines Hotel in the Catskill Mountains, a.k.a., the “Borscht Belt.” I spent many years performing there as a lead singer in rock bands with names like “Sane” and “Morning!” I traveled by bus every weekend between 1965 and 1973 and made a nice living for a young kid. The lamb I’m hugging was the band’s mascot. |
Circa, 1969 Here I am in the casket showroom of a funeral home, where my bandmates and I practiced frequently. A little creepy at first, we often joked that it was a great room to rehearse in because it was "dead quiet." |
Circa, 1974 Performing at a private party in "the band with no name." |

Circa, 1975 Known as "The Brain Train," this group came together to record an album of songs for MacMillan Publishers as an adjunct to their English as a Second Language curriculum. That’s me in the middle. |
Circa, 1975 Performing at a very informal wedding in a converted bankbuilding. Dig the "A Star is Born" hairdo! |

Circa, 1978 Part of a series of photos by famed photographer Gary Gershoff, this portrait was displayed on the wall at The Comic Strip in NYC while I was showcasing there during the ‘70’s. |
Circa, 1980 Dressed for a gig with Monti Rock, III. I was one of his backup singers for a while. Some of you might remember Monti as “Disco Tex and his Sexolettes!” |
