Captivating · Fabulous Singer · First Class Vocalist · Feast For Your Ears · Smooth and Creative · Never Gimmicky · Vocally Enchanting · Sings With Conviction · Her Songs Go Rght From Her Heart To Yours
A native of NYC, it all began for Laura at the age of seven when she took the first steps of her musical journey in an all-girls summer camp production of
The King and I. Through her formative years, the road led her to the resorts of upstate New York's fabled Catskill Mountains, where she practiced her craft performing with numerous bands and learned to sing in a variety of genres and styles. From there, she worked as a session singer for RCA Studios and as a jingle singer for several agencies, and showcased her singing at comedy clubs in and around New York City.
In 1979, Laura pursued a business career in corporate America and placed her music career on hold. Twenty-four years later, with the help of some friends, she launched her return to the stage with her one-woman show, “
No Regrets,” which played to excellent notices during a successful tri-city run. Before long, Laura was immersed in the music scene, joining an acclaimed vocal revue and leading her jazz ensemble. Producing quickly followed when Laura created
Hullarious Productions, her boutique booking agency, followed by a consulting business that grew out of requests to provide coaching, creative, and business management services. In 2006, she executive produced and released “
Hullabaloo,” her debut CD of original music under her
Hullarious Records label, which received radio play around the U.S. She is currently at work on her latest recording.
Laura’s repertoire is comprised of American popular songs and jazz standards, as well as her original music. She performs with best in class musicians drawn from the New York and New Jersey jazz scene, and has appeared at Danny’s Skylight Room, St. Peter’s Midday Jazz, Trumpets Jazz, Odette’s, Eighty Eights, and Hofstra University. She also performs for private and corporate events. Laura is a member of Manhattan Artists and Cabarets, International Association for Jazz Education, and the
New Jersey Jazz Society, where she serves as a member of their Board of Directors.
